This shot of the gibbous Moon was taken a year ago on April 14th and just recently processed. Added to this image was light, false hue balancing to enhance the presence of the original monochrome data.

Open cluster M46 featuring planetary NGC 2438 [APOD]

Open cluster M46 was taken in tandem with the previous Horse Head Nebula and features an interesting planetary, NGC 2438. This image will also be Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) for 3/26/09.
