Astro Photography

Beginning around the year 1998, the field of amateur astrophotography was in the midst of a digital revolution. This is when I got involved. No longer would the photographer have to stay hunched over for hours manually keeping the crosshairs of the eyepiece centered for a single SLR film exposure. Fast forward about 10 years and the field had matured ten fold allowing amateurs to achieve results unheard of “back in the day”. These are just a few results of many long nights and steep learning curves from my back yard observatory in Lamy, NM.
